NCTS Turbocharger systems

LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY

North Coast Turbo Systems warrants to you, the original purchaser of a NCTS turbocharger system, that the system will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year after the date the system is shipped to you, or, if the system is originally installed on your vehicle by an authorized NCTS dealer, for a period of one year after the date of installation.

This warranty does not apply to any system that has been disassembled, repaired, or otherwise altered by any person other than an authorized NCTS dealer, nor does it apply to any system that fails as a result of misuse, accident, improper installation, improper or inadequate maintenance, racing, neglect, or any use in an application or environment for which you know or should know the system is not designed or approved.

See details at the end of this document for those components specifically covered for the full 12-month/12,000 mile warranty. In each case the applicable coverage will expire at either the end of the specific time or mileage limitation, whichever comes first.

This warranty is provided by North Coast Turbo Systems, LLC, 4075 East Kirk Road Unit 17, Port Clinton, OHIO 43452 or by the authorized NCTS dealer who installed your system.

Applicability

This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the system for use on the motor vehicle on which the system is originally installed.

Coverage

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in all parts of the system as originally installed on your vehicle. If the system is determined during the warranty period to be defective, and you comply with the terms of this Limited Warranty, an authorized NCTS dealer or North Coast Turbo Systems, as applicable, will replace any defective parts, or, if replacement is not commercially practicable or cannot be timely made, refund the original purchase price for the system. This warranty covers parts only. If North Coast Turbo Systems or its authorized NCTS dealer performs any repair work or installs any replacement part for the system under this warranty, you may be charged for labor costs.

Obtaining Warranty Service

You can obtain warranty service from any authorized NCTS dealer or directly from North Coast Turbo Systems. It is your responsibility to deliver or ship the defective system or component(s) to an authorized NCTS dealer or to North Coast Turbo Systems, at your expense, together with a copy of your invoice or work order and a description of the claimed defect prior to the expiration of the warranty period. Applicable Warranty Coverage Time and Mileage Constraints

12 months or 12,000 miles

Turbocharger, Wastegate, Blow Off Valve, Stainless Steel piping (including weld defects), all brackets, hardware, air box or air filter shield manufactured by NCTS, or in the case of hardware, that supplied by NCTS for NCTS manufactured components.

6 months or 6,000 miles

Oil Pump and Silicone Connectors. Damage to the oil pump from allowing it to continually run dry such as oil starvation, is not covered under this warranty. Failure of Silicone Connectors from excessive heat, oil soaked, or any other damage other than normal use, is not covered under this Warranty.

3 months or 3,000 miles

All other supplied components not specifically detailed above, including all rubber, plastic, electrical or electronic components, wiring, etc.

Some components may carry a specific manufacturer’s warranty that extends above and beyond that Warranty provided by North Coast Turbo Systems. It is your responsibility to file any Manufacturer required warranty registration cards, and to contact the manufacturer directly for any Warranty related issues. North Coast Turbo Systems will assist the owner in contacting the manufacturer if required; however North Coast Turbo Systems assumes no responsibility for doing so.

Note that North Coast Turbo Systems Turbocharger systems are considered a special order item, and therefore are subject to a 25% Order Cancellation Fee. The Purchaser must contact North Coast Turbo Systems for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number prior to returning any components for any reason. Shipments that do not have the appropriate RMA number annotated on the outside of the box shall be refused and returned to the sender freight collect.

All returns, other than warranty replacement, may be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Shipping and Handling costs for all returns are the responsibility of the sender and are not refundable.

Exceptions and Exclusions

THIS WARRANTY IS CONDITIONED UPON (I) PROPER INSTALLATION AND (II) THE VEHICLE AND THE SYSTEM RECEIVING REASONABLE AND NECESSARY MAINTENANCE DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY FAILURE OF THE SYSTEM THAT IS CAUSED BY MISUSE, ACCIDENT, RACING, NEGLECT, OR ANY USE IN AN APPLICATION OR ENVIRONMENT FOR WHICH YOU KNOW OR SHOULD KNOW THE SYSTEM IS NOT DESIGNED OR APPROVED.

REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE PARTS BY AN AUTHORIZED NCTS DEALER, OR, IN APPLICABLE CIRCUMSTANCES, A REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE SYSTEM, ARE THE SOLE REMEDIES AFFORDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY. IF ANY FAILURE OF THE SYSTEM CAUSES DAMAGE TO ANY OTHER PART OF YOUR VEHICLE OR INJURY TO ANY PERSON OR PROPERTY, THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER SUCH DAMAGE OR INJURY.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH HEREIN, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LIABILITY OF NORTH COAST TURBO SYSTEMS RELATED TO THE SYSTEM EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE SYSTEM.

NORTH COAST TURBO SYSTEMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THE SYSTEM ON THE VEHICLE. (SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.)

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

WARNING!

THE MODIFICATION OF A STOCK PRODUCTION MOTOR VEHICLE PLACES VARIOUS COMPONENTS UNDER SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER STRESS LEVELS THAN THOSE ENVISIONED BY THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER. PRODUCTION VEHICLES ARE MANUFACTURED TO WIDER TOLERANCES THAN THOSE TOLERANCES THAT WOULD BE UTILIZED IN A PERFORMANCE BASED COMPONENT.

UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES, THESE PRODUCTION TOLERANCES CAN CREATE A SITUATION THAT COULD BECOME DETRIMENTAL TO THE COMPONENT OR VEHICLE WHEN PLACED UNDER INCREASED STRESS LEVELS THROUGH MODIFICATION.

AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR NCTS TO DETERMINE THE CONDITION OF ANY PARTICULAR COMPONENT OR VEHICLE CONDITION, NCTS ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR EITHER POTENTIAL OR ACTUAL FAILURES OF NON NCTS SUPPLIED COMPONENTS FOR ANY REASON.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED BY NCTS IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF NCTS SUPPLIED COMPONENTS AS DETAILED IN THIS DOCUMENT.

THE MODIFICATION OF YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH THE USE OF EITHER NCTS OR OTHER MANUFACTURER SUPPLIED SYSTEMS OR COMPONENTS MAY RESULT IN THE ORIGINAL VEHICLE MANUFACTURER VOIDING ALL OR PART OF THE VEHICLES WARRANTY. WHILE THIS IS A DEBATABLE ISSUE UNDER THE MAGNUSSON-MOSS ACT, NCTS ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY SUCH ACTIONS BY THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER.

ORIGINAL VEHICLE WARRANTY ISSUES ARE STRICTLY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER AND THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER.

RACING OR SUSTAINED HIGH SPEED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE CAN IMPART UNUSUALLY HIGH STRESSES ON THE VEHICLES POWERTRAIN AND COMPONENTS. CIS™ ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPONENT FAILURE REGARDLESS IF THE COMPONENT WAS SUPPLIED BY THE ORIGINAL VEHICLE MANUFACTURER, BY OTHERS, OR BY NCTS WHILE ENGAGING IN, OR WHERE IT CAN BE REASONABLY ASCERTAINED AS RESULTING FROM, ENGAGING IN SUCH ACTIVITIES. SUCH FAILURES ARE EXCLUDED, AND ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY.

NCTS TURBOCHARGER SYSTEMS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE UTILIZED UNDER THE LOADS IMPARTED BY TOWING. NCTS EXPLICITLY DISCOURAGES SUCH ACTIVITIES OR SIMILAR ACTIVITIES THAT PLACE THE VEHICLE UNDER AN EXTREME LOAD CONDITION, WHICH MAY RESULT IN SUSTAINED ELEVATED BOOST LEVELS. ANY AND ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS RESULTING FROM FAILURES ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH ACTIVITIES SHALL BE DENIED.

A word about tuning...........

While NCTS strives to provide the best tuning options available for our systems, any tuning that is provided (if any) should be viewed as generic in nature. They may not result in maximum power gains, or operation of the vehicle similar to an unmodified vehicle. You may experience minor drivability issues in areas such as, but not limited to; idle, shifting, surging, decreased fuel economy, etc. Tuning files (if any), are not part of the system or purchase, and therefore, NCTS assumes no responsibility for tuning or the use of any files that may be provided as a courtesy to our customers.

NCTS desires to be notified of such issues, and will strive to update tuning as can be reasonably accomplished for a generic tuning option. NCTS does not directly develop the tuning and associated files; therefore we may or may not be able to fully eliminate or improve upon such issues, and assumes no responsibility to do so.

In cases where NCTS is unable to resolve such issues, and/or if the owner desires a more optimized tune for their particular vehicle, whether for power or drivability, the owner will need to contact an authorized tuning facility. The owner is solely responsible for such activities or associated costs.

System Modifications = Voided Warranty!

Unauthorized system changes, modifications, parts substitutions, elevated boost levels, etc, that are performed to NCTS systems or components shall void this warranty. If you desire to make changes to the system, please contact us at 419-734-2685 PRIOR to making such modifications to discuss the changes or modifications. Failure to follow this provision shall void this warranty.

Fitment adjustments for installation, replacement of hoses, clamps, individual electrical components, etc, are excluded from this clause.

iEMS³Engine Management Systems

The iEMS3 unit carries a two year warranty covering manufacturer defects. All other components are covered for 6 months against manufacturing defects.
